Only through the body can you grasp the divine (James Broughton, Shaman Psalm)

I am the owner and senior teacher at Tula Studio. In 2011 I completed my 200-hour certification and in 2013 I finished my 500-hour certification—both through the renowned Hilltop Yoga teacher training program, under the direction of Hilaire Lockwood. Currently, I am completing a 300-hour certification in Yoga Wellness Education through YogaUOnline. For the past 12 years, I have taught a variety of yoga classes including power, Vinyasa, yoga sculpt, Curvy Yoga, Love Your Brain yoga, basics, deep stretch, restorative, and accessible Ashtanga. I find that the movement and the stillness that yoga offers are essential for physical and mental health. I am forever grateful that yoga has opened me to new possibilities in life. My classes have an emphasis on alignment and exploration. I will provide explicit directions while offering many suggestions for modifications and variations. I will challenge you while continually encouraging you to honor and trust yourself as you practice.

I started my journey back in 2013, and have been a certified Reiki Practitioner since 2015. I embarked on a journey to Costa Rica in September of 2017 for my 200-hour yoga teacher training. I then took on The Art of Healing Yoga Program in 2017.
I am passionate about helping others find wholeness within their practice as well as bringing oneness into the community. I will challenge students to push beyond their comfort zones and support you both emotionally - with an open heart & infectious joy, and physically with support and attention to alignment.

After taking a Yoga class on the beach, I was hooked. Searching for balance, peace and management of chronic pain, finding the practice of Yoga has significantly impacted my life. Always interested in health and exercise I found Yoga over 10 years ago and have never looked back. I wish to honor the practice of Yoga by teaching others, so they may find what they are looking for to lead a healthy, strong and balanced life in a safe, secure and supportive environment.

My practice and teaching focuses on finding inner peace so we can let go of anything holding us back. My training includes a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification from Firefly Yoga in Foxboro, MA, a 30 Hour Restorative Yoga Teacher Training Certification. I am Certified in Reiki Level 1 a method of Natural Healing and an American Heart Association Instructor in CPR and Basic First Aid.

After spending summers in Wellfleet, my husband and I settled in Eastham in March 2021, fulfilling a lifelong dream of living on Cape Cod. Working as a Registered Nurse for over thirty years has gifted me the opportunity to meet so many incredible people and I look forward to making connections with everyone that will join me in this journey.

I was dragged kicking and screaming (well, loudly complaining, anyway) to my first yoga class over 25 years ago. I believed that yoga was out of my reach since I viewed myself as uncoordinated, not strong, not flexible, and pretty much disconnected from my physical body. Little did I know that the simple practices of breathing with conscious intention and noticing sensations in my body would result in the gifts of awareness and integration. Through regular practice of asana (physical postures), pranayam (breath), and meditation, it is possible to reconnect with our true, most authentic selves.

I have taught various forms of yoga on Cape Cod and surrounding areas since 2001. I earned my teacher certification in classical hatha yoga through the Yoga Institute and my Kundalini yoga teacher certification through the Kundalini Research Institute. I am also certified in prenatal yoga and have taught classes for new parents and their babies.I am currently studying Yoga for Bone Health with Ellen Saltonstall, an associate of Dr. Loren Fishman, researcher and creator of Yoga for Osteoporosis.

My classes offer the opportunity to increase one’s awareness of breath, movement, and sensation. Postures are demonstrated multiple ways, and are modified to meet individual needs. Throughout our practice, we will pause and reflect upon what may be happening in a given moment. Connecting with the present moment connects you to yourself!

Yoga is about clearing away whatever is in us that prevents our living in the most full and whole way. With yoga, we become aware of how and where we are restricted — in body, mind, and heart — and how gradually to open and release these blockages. As these blockages are cleared, our energy is freed. We start to feel more harmonious, more at one with ourselves. Our lives begin to flow — or we begin to flow more in our lives. -Cybele Tomlinson

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years from California to Maine before landing in Wellfleet in 2018. Originally from the Berkshires, I was blessed to have Kripalu in my backyard and always found myself in and out of it for one reason or another. In 2019, I received my 200-hour certification from the Kripalu School of Ayurveda and am working on an additional 650-hour certification. In 2023, I decided that I wanted to share my love of yoga with others and received a dual, 200-hour certification in Vinyasa and Hatha. The combination of Ayurveda and Yoga has brought immense wisdom into my life and I love sharing what I have learned & lived with others.

I teach Vinyasa and Hatha and am also trained in Yoga Nidra, all of which hold deep benefits for mind, body, and the union thereof. My Hatha classes focus on musculoskeletal alignment to practice and maintain healthy, bio-mechanic positioning. Unlike Vinyasa where we focus on matching breath to movement, in Hatha we hold postures longer and work on channeling energy to specific parts of the body. My Vinyasa classes have a playful and exploratory vibe because I find that when we don’t take ourselves or our practice too seriously, our minds and bodies respond in a way that allows us to explore the deeper layers of who we are, mentally and physically. When we can practice with a smile on our faces (even in the most challenging of poses) and fill our hearts with joy and gratitude for the time we dedicate on our mats, it is my hope that we can then carry all of that beautiful energy out into the world and share our own unique light in a way that we could not before. I am elated at the opportunity to share the practice of yoga with you and promise that our time together will challenge you, make space for imperfection, and allow you to be who you are just as you are.

I am a yoga instructor, sound meditation and breathwork facilitator, and workshop and retreat leader trained in the Kripalu (200 hr) and Bhakti (200 hr) traditions. I also have advanced certifications in Subtle Body practice and Ashaya Yoga Anatomy, and am Reiki attuned. Additionally, I trained under Alexandre Tannous and David Shamesh in the art & science of sound meditation (200 hr).

I believe in the power of yoga, breathwork, and sound meditation for individual transformation and the evolution of collective consciousness. My focus is on demonstrating the value of meditation, teaching to all levels, and weaving together proper alignment, breathwork techniques, and the power of sound to support each student’s practice.

My overarching vision is to create spaces and facilitate experiences that empower individuals and groups in their physical, emotional, and spiritual evolution.

Tara Glynn

Hi! My name is Tara Glynn, and I am a senior at Emmanuel College. I am pursuing a degree in marketing and will be interning at Tula this Summer. I fell in love with the practice of yoga and overall mind body health and am so excited to be given the opportunity to join Tula’s team of wonderful women. I am eager to learn even more about yoga, wellness, and hopefully make more people aware about this beautiful studio in the heart of Cape Cod.
